“Spider-Man” Musical Actor Kevin Aubin Breaks His Wrist

20090807_spidey_190x190Oct 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to reports, an actor and dancer who doubles as Spider-Man in “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” , a coming Broadway musical, has been badly injured. A spokesman for the Friday show confirmed the news and said that the actor named Kevin Aubin, broke both his wrists, as he was thrown up in the air during the rehearsals.

It was said that Kevin Aubin was thrown in the air with force. It was suppose to be a sling shot effect from the back of the stage to its lip. However, the actor landed in a disoriented manner and broke both his wrist. The creator of “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” has previously promised that this show would involve high quality aerial spectacle, typical of Spider man, with full safety measures. This stunt was just a part of it, although his “safety measures” is quite under question right now. Although it has not yet been confirmed, what led to the accident. It could be carelessness on the part of the artist or simple mechanical malfunctioning, said spokesman, Rick Miramontez. The lead producer, Michael Cohl said that the accident was caused due to a multiple of factors, both technical and human. However, Kevin Aubin still cannot believe that his accident has become such a bis news. He apparently took the mishap quite sportingly. However, it has been ensured that the artist can get back to the show from the next week.

“Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark”, is a musical drama, where actor and singer Reeve Carney would portray the role of Peter Parker. However, her stunts and dance performances are enacted by his body doubles. The show is all set to make its first performance at the Foxwoods Theater on November 14.
