Sep 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Famous producer, creator and star of the British comedy “Absolutely Fabulous”, Jennifer Saunders is penning the script for a Spice Girls musical titled “Viva Forever”. The news was confirmed to media sources by Jennifer Saunders herself who said that she is thrilled and terrified at being attached with the project. “Viva Forever” is the idea of Judy Craymer whose Abba musical “Mamma Mia!” went on to become a global hit both on screen and on stage.

52-year-old Jennifer Saunders held that working on the project has been “great fun so far”. The “Absolutely Fabulous” famed star said reportedly that it is very exciting to write a musical that “encompasses the music and energy of the biggest girl band of all time”. Jennifer Saunders added that her own daughters have grown up watching “The Spice Girls” and therefore she would be writing the book not only for herself but also for her daughters.

An excited Judy Craymer said that she is happy to have Jennifer Saunders writing the themes and scripts for “Viva Forever” which is based on Spice Girls Songs. She maintained that having Jennifer Saunders on board is the best possible start that her project could have got. According to the producer of “Viva Forever”, the “Absolutely Fabulous” star would be just “brilliant” at writing about the play’s theme which will keep in front of the audience new contemporary story not only about friendship but also about celebrity and fame. However, when the script will be ready and reach the stage has not been mentioned as of yet.
