Washington, Dec 14 (ANI): Sissy Spacek and Mary Steenburgen have signed on to join Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn in “Four Christmases”
The pic has Vaughn and Witherspoon playing a couple struggling to visit all four divorced parents on Christmas Day.
Already in the movie are Kristin Chenoweth and Robert Duvall.
Spacek will play the slightly spacey, New Age mother of Vaughns character Brad while Steenburgen takes on the role of Witherspoons character Kates chameleonlike mother, whose personality changes depending on whom she’s married to or dating, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
New Line is now planning for a December production start for “Four Christmases,” which is set up at Spyglass.
On board as producers are Gary Barber, Roger Birnbaum and Jonathan Glickman, as well as Vaughn and Witherspoon, reports Variety.
Seth Gordon is directing the pic, on a script by the writing team of Matt Allen and Caleb Wilson.
New Line’s hopeful it can get “Four Christmases” into theaters during next year’s holiday season. (ANI)
