South Park spoof on royal wedding
May 11th, 2011 - 9:49 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, May 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have added the Royal Wedding to their list of spoofs. An upcoming episode of the show will tell a version of the ceremony- in cartoon terms.
On Friday, the episode will be aired on Comedy Central at 10pm. In the said episode, a character dressed and looking just like Prince William will have a wedding. The character which is named Prince of Canada will be getting ready to marry in the episode when the bride is abducted.
The location for the wedding in the show looks remarkably like Westminster Abbey with all those guests seated for the ceremony. When the bride was abducted, all the guests got up and joined in the mission to rescue the princess for the prince. This is not the first time that the show has highlighted the lighter side of a major event.
South Park has joked about several things. However religion has proven to be a controversial topic for the show. The creators received death threats when they depicted Prophet Mohammad in one of the episodes.
The Royal Wedding was held on the 29th of April. An estimated 2 billion viewers around the world watched the event in television.
