Apr 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The latest episode of the popular animated series South Park also turned out to be one of the most popular ones in recent times giving stiff competition to the one that dealt with sex addiction, and the one that took a poke at Tiger Woods. The latest episode was on Facebook, the highly popular community networking website. The episode, while it had most of the viewers holding on to their sides, also left the critics wondering what took the makers of South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, so long to launch a Facebook special episode, considering that the website has been this absurdly popular for quite some time now.
The episode on South Park was entitled You Have Zero Friends, and deals with the plight of a young boy who manages to make the “wrong” friends on Facebook, and has to take recourse to one of his real friends, who, on the other hand, dies not show much of an interest in the site. However, when the friend gets a profile on the site, courtesy his friends, he is continuously forced by his father and everyone else around him to add everyone as his friend, and keep in constant touch, including his grandmother.
The Facebook episode of South Park turned out to be one of the most hilarious episodes aired this far on the show. The humor in the show was characteristically polite yet hard hitting, with all the characters retaining their usual flavor. More then anything, however, the episode gave an insight into just how terribly addictive such networking sites can get.
