South Park Episode Censored Due To Muslim Threats

muslim Apr 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Wednesday’s new South Park episode had to censor the use of the word ‘Mohammad’ after the creators of the show were threatened by a Muslim group who was offended by the use of the name. A website which was created for Islamic people posted a warning which stated that the two men who created the show, Trey Parker and Matt Stone could end up in the same condition as the Dutch filmmaker who was killed by an Islamic group. The newly revised show still had the original bear suit which was supposed to have Mohammed in it, but instead, Santa Claus ended up being in the suit.

The show was supposed to go more like this: “It’s a tense situation in South Park as Muhammad has become the pawn in the game to save the town. The Ginger kids are threatening to destroy the city if Stan and Kyle don’t hand over the Prophet and the celebrities have met violence with violence by unleashing Mecha Streisand. In the midst of all of this, all anyone really wants to know is, who is Eric Cartman’s father?”

Instead it was more like this: In the show, Kenny has to protect someone depicted by a “CENSORED” black strip from the redheaded mob and from celebrities. The voices are beeped at the end. This is due to the fact that a Muslim website by the name of RevolutionMuslim.com warned the creators that they might end like Theo van Gogh, the Dutch filmmaker who was found dead in 2004, after being murdered. The site also included a graphic picture of van Gogh’s body. He was killed after making a movie about violence against women in Muslim countries. The webmaster of the site denied that the message was a threat. Many Muslims think that depicting the prophet in any way is wrong. The episode also depicts Jesus watching porn and Buddha snorting coke. On SouthParkStudios.com, Trey and Matt posted a message stating that they could not stream the new episode yet because “After we delivered the show, and prior to broadcast, Comedy Central placed numerous additional audio bleeps throughout the episode. We do not have network approval to stream our original version of the show.”
