Sourav Ganguly may judge Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Season 4

October 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Taking a backseat from the regular games on the field, Sourav Ganguly has moved on to other areas to keep his fans happy and entertained. After a successful stint as the judge of “Dadagiri”, a quiz show aired on Zee Bangla, there are reports that India’s most successful former captain will now be spotted on the judge’s chair of “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Season 4”. Though nothing has yet been heard from the horse’s mouth, a sportsmen’s association with reality television is not unheard of. Former cricketer and Sourav Ganguly’s one-time teammate Ajay Jadeja was one of the participants in the first innings of “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa”, hockey player Mir Ranjan Negi following the act in the second version of India’s “Dancing With The Stars”.
Though Sourav Ganguly has always maintained that he is not very fond of dancing and will never shake a leg for the camera, his fans will surely wait for their favorite player’s comments on the stage performances. Dada, as he is popularly known as, has previously been the judge for “Knights & Angels”, a reality television show to select cheerleaders for his IPL team Knight Riders.
“Jhalak Dikhla Jaa” has been quite a popular show on Sony Entertainment Television since its first season. The show features one celebrity and his/her choreographer dancing partner grooving to dance tracks based on themes decided by the sitting judges. Season 4 of “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa”, with Sourav Ganguly as judge, is scheduled to go on air early next year.
