New York, April 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Thursday Soundgarden announced their first tour since their reunion. The tour which will be the first for the band in North America for nearly 15 years would take place in the summer. The band came back together last year and they have announced that they are in the studio and working on their latest album.

According to details of the tour, the band would start their tour on the 2nd of July at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, Canada. So far the band has confirmed four concerts saying more dates would be announced in the upcoming weeks. The other concerts would be held in Philadelphia, Denver and Los Angeles. Tickets for the confirmed concerts would go on sale from Monday.

Internal wrangling caused a rift in Soundgarden and eventually led to the break-up of the band in 1997. The band was one of the most influential bands in the 1990s. After almost a decade-and-a-half, the band came back together on New Year’s Day of 2010. The band since they came together again has played only three full-length shows. The last album that the band released before being disbanded was 1996’s “Down on the Upside.”
