‘Sound of Music’ cast to reunite on Oprah’s show

Sep 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘Sound of Music’ cast is all set to reunite on the Oprah Winfrey show. So fans of the iconic movie are all agog to see Dame Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer along with the actors who portrayed the Von Trapp children on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’.
Dame Julie Andrews is now 74 years old and in the movie she gave a brilliant performance as governess Maria. Christopher Plummer is now 81 years old and in the movie he portrayed the character of Captain von Trapp, who is a very strict man. The movie went on to win a record 5 Academy Awards. And the music of the movie has its sweet charm alive even today, in this day and age.
On the show, the actors are being speculated to perform. However an exception will be made for Dame Julie Andrews as she had throat surgery more than 10 years old. Even the real descendants of the Von Trapp family would also put an appearance on the show and also perform on the show.
Plummer has tried his best to keep a distance from the movie, but recently he had said that, “It is not a film which I detest. The press have always got that wrong. I didn’t hate the movie at all. I just didn’t think my role was terribly exciting.”
