June 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American rapper Soulja Boy has deleted his Twitter account in spite of amassing more than 2 million followers, according to the latest reports. Though the rapper or his representative has not revealed the cause of cancellation of his social networking site account, the web is abuzz with rumors that it was due to the negative feedback that he started receiving. The move is likely to cost the rapper a good deal of money as he and Kim Kardashian are one of the highest paid tweeters. Soulja Boy reportedly received $10000 for each tweet.

The web has also been a great platform for stars like Soulja Boy and many others to promote the different facets of their works and get approval of the fans. They have also amassed millions by getting millions of clicks from their fans on the promotional websites. On Twitter, Soulja Boy used a particular tag that led to many of the followers come up with an apodosis to complete the sentence of his tag name. This reportedly resulted in ridiculing of the rapper by the fans. It is, however, unclear whether this was the only cause of the rapper’s decision to delete his twitter account.

Soulja Boy is a well known international rapper from Atlanta. His hits include ‘Crank That’ and ‘Kiss Me Thru The Phone’. He has stated that he wishes to work with the likes of Kanye West, Jay Z and Eminem in his upcoming album ‘Dre’. The star had also been nominated for the 50th Grammy Awards for the song ‘Crank That’ but lost to Kanye West and T-Pain’s ‘Goodlife’.
