‘Sopranos’ Actress Denise Borino-Quinn Dies at 46

Nov 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Denise Borino-Quinn, the forty-six year old actress who played the part of Ginny Sacrimoni, Johnny Sac’s “Rubanesque” wife on ‘The Sopranos’, has died young after a battle with cancer of the liver. The report from CNN said that the actress’s husband had died just a few months before.

Her character, “Ginny” was known to be the very sweet wife who was always cooking. She was given the role in 2002, after she went to a screening with a friend of hers who was trying for a part, and had not planned on auditioning. She did not have any experience as an actress, but was a manicurist part time, and worked for a local law firm.

‘The Sopranos’ ran from 1999 to 2007, and is seen in syndication on A&E. Many fans are hoping for a ‘Sopranos’ movie, and are saddened that Denice can’t be a part of it.
