Sydney, Jan 4 (ANI): Sophie Monk has spoken of the trials of settling into a life in Los Angeles as she enjoys a vacation in Sydney.

“I stayed at someone’s place and she went crazy,” Monk says. “She said she was going to pull a gun on me. I’d just come fresh off the boat - I didn’t know what to do. Then I lived with another guy in this guesthouse and he used to come in the middle of the night and unlock the door,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted her, as telling Cosmopolitan mag.

“I came here and no one knew what I did or where I came from. I had no friends.”

Although Monk has pals in the city now, at times she still doesn’t know how to deal with men.

She said: “I hate it…. They ask for your number and then say, ‘I’ll ring you right now so you’ve got my number.’ So you have to give them the right number. I just ignore the calls.”

And the sexy lass, who is now dating a plastic surgeon, feels she is finally living a balanced life.

Monk said: “I mean, you have a boyfriend and you’ll say, ‘I’m going to go get a manicure,’ and they’re like, ‘Cool - me, too!’ In Australia, men don’t do that.

“I try to date someone out of the industry and now I have. That’s the way to do it to keep balanced and healthy.” (ANI)
