London, Sep 28 (ANI): Video games giant Sony is pushing Sackboy as their defining mascot for the Noughties and hes British.

The Japanese computer giants, who are pumping millions into the character, reckon every kid in the world will want their own virtual one in the next few months.

Tiny firm Media Molecule, which operates with just 25 staff in Guildford, Surrey, created Sackboy.

Its fair to say that Nintendo has got Super Mario and Sega had Sonic. Its about time Sony got their own iconic mascot Sackboy will be that character, The Sun quoted Sony PlayStations Jonathan Fargher, as saying.

Hes a charming and personable character people will take to and the fact you can dress him up how you like will appeal. Youll be able to make him a spaceman, pirate, cowboy, zombie theres even an Evel Knievel outfit for him, he added.

Mario, one of the planets most recognisable figures, has made Sony rival Nintendo billions. (ANI)
