Washington, July 21 (ANI): Sony Pictures have reportedly offered 50million dollars to AEG Live for the video footage of Michael Jackson’s final days.
The promoters of the King of Pop for his O2 concerts, Aeg Live, reportedly own 80 hours of the legend’s footage from the rehearsals of ‘This is it’ concert.
They have been in touch with film studios to make a feature-length documentary, Contactmusic reports.
And Sony Pictures has apparently offered in excess of 50million dollars to win the rights to the tapes.
The film is expected to slot in minimum three videos, including a 3-D version of Thriller, that were due to be shown during the London shows.
Kenny Ortega who was the choreographer for Jackson’s shows has been roped in to direct the documentary.
She choreographed dance sequences in the film High School Musical. (ANI)
