paula-abdul1Jan 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A few out of the many viewers who followed Paula Abdul throughout on “American Idol” still harbor a good amount of respect for her excellent choreography. This had remained a preconceived notion for most people who are well versed with the type and styles of dance, she composes, until Tuesday night. With “Live to Dance” premiering last night, the show brought in the “Solid Gold” dancers. There was this 83-year old dancer who performed a bump move and a 90-year-old dancer from “Solid Gold” who performed a robotic form of dance. Paula Abdul was floored by their performances.

Last night “Live to Dance” show brought all different kinds of performers ranging from different ages and various skill levels. Amongst the contestants were the ever-memorable trio of “Solid Gold” Dancers of the 1980s show. Paula Abdul, seated at the judge’s panel became very sentimental watching those dancers perform in front of her. She became so emotional that she exclaimed that the ladies whom she used to watch in the TV series, “Solid Gold” did put up an amazing show. She told the dancers that they were boosting up not only the other performers, but also the audience. She referred the “Solid Gold” dancers as an inspiration. Even after being showered with so many praises these dancers did not reach up to that level of earning a good number of gold stars. They moved on to the experts’ short list.

To begin with, Paula Abdul gave these dancers a gold star, but judges Travis Payne and Kimberly Wyatt awarded them red stars. It could probably be Paula Abdul’s speech that moved Travis Payne, who changed his mind and gave the dancers a gold star. Viewers must keep watching the show to see what happens next.
