Paris Hilton Las Vegas, Sep 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Paris Hilton may escape jail time if she accepts a plea bargain from prosecutors.

Hilton has been charged with two misdemeanor charges. The hotel heiress is due in court on October 27 and she is expected to plead guild to misdemeanor charge of drug possession and lying to a police officer.

However Hilton’s lawyer, David Chesnoff has not commented on the reported deal.

Official of the Clark County District Attorney’s Office said the actress could face up to four years in jail, if she is found guilty but a deal could mean the actress will be given a probation sentence for the offense. If found guilty on the charge of possessing controlled substance, the offender could be sentenced to a minimum of a year in jail and a maximum of four years in jail and/ or be fined up to $5,000. However the charge is also probationable, meaning offenders can get off with probation.

It is expected that Hilton will get the probation sentence along with community service. Given the options available, Hilton will be more than happy to get away with probation and community service.
