So You Think You Can Dance: Top 20 Dance…Again

June 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, the top twenty dancers were to perform once again, since the judges had decided to send no one home during last week’s elimination show. This meant that not one, but two couple would be sent home this week, ending the dream of four contestants for Season 8.

Ryan and Ricky were the first to perform, and they danced their sexy jazz routine by Mandy Moore. The judges loved it. Caitlynn and Mitchell were up next with a contemporary routine which was created by choreographer Stacey Tookey. The judges were once again thrilled, and Mary added that the chemistry and talent were amazing.

Nigel was not so thrilled with a routine by Wadi and Missy, and stated that Wadi needed more technique. Their dance was the Cha Cha. Then the season’s first Bollywood performance came from Ivetta and Nick. It was a bit choppy, but the judges still liked it.

A Hip Hop performance from Robert and Miranda had been created by Tabitha and Napoleon. The judges loved it and were especially impressed by Tabitha’s performance, since she had never performed Hip Hop. The first Viennese Waltz of the season was beautifully done by Jordon and Tadd. Although the dancers normally dread this particular dance, the judges thought they did a wonderful job.

Another Mandy Moore jazz routine was done by Melanie and Marko, which had the judges very excited. Mary loved the partnership between these two, and felt that they could dance in any style. The next performance had Mary crying as Sasha and Alexander performed a Hip Hop routine about a soldier coming home.

The last show of the night was a Broadway routine which was performed by Chris and Ashley. The judges were thrilled, but it was Nigel, not Mary, who put the dancers on the Hot Tamale Train. On tonight’s show we will find out which of these dancers are safe, and who will be going home.
