July 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, audience members and dancers alike were given a treat as Carmen Electra came out to be a guest judge on the show. The star has danced since she was five years old, and brought a fresh excitement to the show.

The first couple to perform were Melania and Marko, who danced a jazz routine which was created by Ray Leeper. With sexy costumes of black and red, these two amazed Travis, who called Melanie his favorite dancer on the show. Mary says that they are brilliant and definitely have the passion. Nigel exclaims that they were fantastic.

Sasha and Alexander came next with a hip hop routine which was set by ‘To The Moon’ which was by Miguel. Carmen did not feel any connection between the two dancers, and says her eyes were drawn to Sasha for the whole dance. Mary felt no connection either, and called the dance, “lacking.” Nigel agreed with the two women, but Travis liked the routine.

Jordan and Tadd were up next, and danced a waltz to ‘Nocturne’ by “Secret Garden.” Mary thought it was dreamy and romantics. Nigel also loved it, but Travis felt it should have been a bit smoother. Carmen said it was beautiful.

Clarice and Jeff performed a contemporary dance to Celeste Lear’s ‘Light Through the Branches’. It was Travis’s favorite routine for them all season..he loved the chemistry. Nigel completely agreed and loved it as well. Mary called it “gorgeous” and bragged on how they had grown as a couple, and Carmen really “felt” it.

Ashley and Chris danced the salsa to the song ‘Mambo Beat’, which is by Tito Puente. Travis felt that it was okay, but it just did not pop for him. Carmen also felt that it was “just okay,” and Mary said that although there was some fire, it was not there for the whole routine. Although Nigel loved a few of the lifts, he too thought the dance was lacking.

Ryan and Ricky’s jazz routine to the song ‘Fashion’ by David Bowie had the dancer acting like zombies. Carmen felt that it rocked, and Mary said it was hot and quirky. Nigel also felt the routine was a great one for the couple, and Travis also loved it.

The final dance of the night belonged to Caitlynn and Mitchell, who danced a powerful routine to the Celine Dion tune ‘To Love You More’. They received a standing ovation from the judges, and Mary screamed her approval. Tune in tonight for the results after the voting to see who goes home.
