So You Think You Can Dance: Double Elimination

June 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) On last week’s elimination show for “So You Think You Can Dance,” the contestants were shocked to discover that no one would be going home. Although this was good news at the time, it made for a very stressful performance night, and a disheartening elimination show last night, since four dancers had to be sent home.

Pretty soon into the show it was revealed that Wadi and Missy would be in the bottom three. This was not really much of a surprise since Wadi had received the first negative feedback of the performance night when Nigel criticized his lack of technique. Shasha and Alexander, who had performed a wonderful Hip Hop routine featuring the story of a soldier coming home, were safe.

Caitlynn and Mitchell were also safe. They had danced a contemporary number the night before. Melanie and Marko, who had performed a jazz routine the night before, were also safe. Robert and Miranda’s woodpecker Hip Hop rouine the night before had also earned them a safe vote.

Jordon and Tadd, who had been given the dreaded Viennese Waltz for their performance, did such a wonderful job that they were safe as well. The first Bollywood routine of the season, performed by Ivetta and Nick, left them as the second couple in the bottom three.

Ashley and Chris had performed a Broadway routine, and were placed on the Hot Tamale train by Nigel on performance night. They were safe, as was Clarice and Jess. This left Ryan and Ricky as the last couple of the bottom three.

After the bottom three couples all danced their solos in an effort to “dance for their lives,” it was Wadi, Nick, Missy, and Ivetta who would be going home.
