SNL skit on TSA screening procedures raises a lot of questions

Los Angeles, Nov 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Saturday Night Live poked a lot of fun on the TSA screening procedures. And with humor, the show also brought into the limelight another facet of the TSA screening procedures, which borders on sexual harassment.

During the course of the skit, the actors promised lonely people that they could have some “contact in certain special places”, which was a dig on the TSA screenings procedures. Besides SNL, other comedians are also having a whale of a time with their humorous takes on the TSA procedures.

Apart from the sexual angle, the current rules stipulate that a person of the same gender searches a passenger. This rule was made so that none of the concerned parties could derive any sort of sexual satisfaction from the screening procedure. However in the context of gays and lesbians, this rule can be said to be ‘flouted’. And in case a rule is made to keep the sensibilities of the gays and lesbians in mind, then again it would be a tricky thing to determine that the person is indeed gay/lesbian. Because people could claim to be gays, so that they would get groped by the opposite sex and they could get a measure of some sexual satisfaction in that.
