Tiger Woods New York City, Dec 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Saturday Night Live poked immense fun at the media frenzy that surrounds the infamous Tiger Woods scandal. The show begins with a skit in which Gov. Mark Sanford, Sen. John Ensign and Sen. John Edwards hold an amazing press conference, in which they lambast the media for the excessive media coverage that is hogging the news these days.

They all that the media has been unfair to them because the media hasn’t covered their extra-marital affairs at all and has just focused on Tiger Woods solely. They are sad about the media’s orgy with Tiger Woods. The media coverage according to them has been ‘lurid’, ‘excessive’ and has totally overshadowed their own affairs. “The coverage has been excessive, it has been lurid, and it has completely overshadowed coverage of our extramarital affairs,” says the Sanford character.

“Like Tiger Woods, we have broken our marriage vows, but in addition, as elected officials, we have also violated the public’s trust,” says Ensign in the skit. “It’s a pretty big deal. And yet it seems the media couldn’t care less.” Sanford also comments on the racial aspect of the media coverage and hopes that the media is not ignoring them, because all three of them are white and Tiger Woods was a Black.

Senator John Edwards keeps on harping about the importance of his own affair because he has a love child too. Through the skit, he keeps on talking and stressing about his ‘baby bastard, illegitimate’ love child, which is born to unwed parents. When he still doesn’t get any sympathy or coverage from the media then he even goes on to say that apparently one love child isn’t enough, and he even talks about 3 love child’s to get the media attention.
