The South Indian star Sneha is now standing up for the polio eradication campaign. The smiling beauty joined hands at the SRM University with the Pondicherry Rotary Club for a fund raiser for the cause. Taking time out from her busy filming schedule, the actress stated that since her father was associated with the Rotary Club, it just motivated her to be part of the campaign.
At the fund raiser, Sneha clicked pictures with the Rotarians who’ve donated Rs. 5000 for the cause; on the other hand, she too made the contribution of Rs. 10,000 for the polio eradication campaign. The ever smiling actress joins a long list of biggies of the Indian film industry who have so far stood up for the polio eradication campaign in India. The iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan has been part of the campaign for a long time now and even cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has campaigned for it.
The 29-year old actress’ support for the cause is commendable and one hopes that she too can make some difference. Sneha began her career in 2001 and went on to win the south Indian Filmfare Award for the Best Supporting Actress in 2002 and 2004 for Unnai Ninathu and Autograph respectively.
Soon Sneha will be seen in a powerful cop role inspired by the real life police Kiran Bedi. The film is called Bhavani IPS and Sneha is in the titular role.
