London, June 18 (IANS) Hollywood action star Jackie Chan is convinced that his “The Karate Kid” co-star and Will Smith’s son Jaden can be the next action superstar.
The “Rush Hour” star sent an expert from his personal stunt team to train Jaden for three months before the movie shooting last year. But he was so impressed that he eventually started working with the 11-year-old himself, reports contactmusic.com.
“After the movie, I told Will, ‘Don’t waste his talent; he’s just so good.’ He (Jaden) is still training every day,” Chan said.
“In the movie, there are no special effects. He did all his own stunts. I do have a stunt double, but Will, his father, (said), ‘No, let him do it. Send his mom away.’ He’s going to be a big action star in the future,” he added.
