Los Angeles, May 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Smallville” concluded its season 9 yesterday and is all set to begin the next season with a bang. The last episode of season 9 titled “Salvation” was indeed a fitting end to the show feel the television analysts. The finale was packed with superb action, it followed a brilliant storyline keeping with the standard of the stories narrated in the other episodes, and at its heart remained a love story between the characters of Lois and Clark in spite of the action packed situation.

“Salvation” begins in the flash forward mode showing the characters in the year 2013. While Lois Lane is the reporter of the Daily Planet in the future, Perry White is its Editor in Chief. We find the character of Lex Luthor on the other hand contesting for the Presidency. An aeroplane is about to crash in the Daily Planet and who can prevent such a thing from taking place but Superman himself who snatches the plane away from its position in the sky! Again, Clark wakes up to find a Superman costume on his bed and he is happy, but the viewers are sad because they can only see the reflection of the costume in Clark’s eyes and not the costume in itself.

So all in all the episode was very entertaining though it had certain repetitions from its previous seasons. However the final episode of “Smallville” could really arrest many an eyeball unlike the final episode of the last season. The title of “Doomsday” as was assigned to last season’s final episode had no connection with its content. Viewers are now ready to welcome the latest season of “Smallville”.
