“Smallville: Absolute Justice” Features Dr. Fate And Justice Society Of America

drFeb 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On February 5, Friday, “Smallville: Absolute Justice” aired on CW. The movie introduced the JSA in to the Smallville world. The Star Spangled Kid, Doctor Fate as well as Hawkman are members of Justice Society of America. The clan was part of the famous DC Comics. Doctor Fate is one of the founding members along with the other 10. Various other members joined in over the years.

The CW movie version included heroes like Star Girl, Green Arrow, Icicle and J’onn J’onzz (The Martin Man hunter). This special included various other characters which brought a variation in the series which was originally about Superman, Supergirl and Lex Luthor. It included other heroes and villains as well. The relationship of the original Smallville characters and new characters like Hawkman, Dr. Fate and Star Spangled Kid was really interesting to watch. It received a mixed responses- with some fans loving the show while other comic book fans finding it okie-dokie.

After much anticipation when the show aired on Friday, the viewers who were only accustomed to Superman/boy myths might have found it a little strange. As the ongoing sub-plots of the series was in store for the two-hour version, some fans might have found it disappointing. However, viewers who had no pre-conceived notions about the show must have found it thrilling. In the two-hour version, Star-Spangled Kid/Skyman, Sylvester Pemberton seeks help of Chloe and her group of superheroes while Lois Lane is found dealing with the evil Amanda Waller and the secret government agency. The episode was written by DC Comics as well as Geoff Johns.
