Sylvester Stallone London, March 25 (ANI): Action-man-turned-artist Sylvester Stallone is set to launch a new collection of menswear in 2012 inspired by his roles in ‘Rocky’ and ‘Rambo’.

Sly Inc, aimed at men aged between 25 and 40, will include jeans, shirts, outerwear and even fragrances.

He first developed his interest in fashion between filming the Rambo films, when he lost so much weight he couldn’t find clothes to fit him.

“I thought the time is now. I’ve lived a life where I know what has worked and what hasn’t worked,” the Daily Mail quoted him as telling Men’s Health Week.

“Clothing is the first step to building a character. I hope that what worked for me will work for others.

“I really believe I have an understanding of the male psyche on all levels. I want to expose people to things that will work and this is the apropos time.

“I’m not experienced in this field, but we have the proper team to move this vision along,” he added.

The “premium brand” collection will be sold in department stores.

“Rocky at the end of the day is a love story,” said Michael Henry, Stallone’s business partner and president of Sly Inc.

“While Rambo showcases the other side of masculinity, he’s a loner. So the line will offer looks for “the rebel and the gentleman,”‘ Henry said. (ANI)
