Mumbai, Jan 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Oscar winning movie Slumdog Millionaire, which is based on the life of a slum boy, had brought to instant fame quite a few faces from the slums itself. Little Rubina Ali is one of them. Though the film has been successful, it does not appear that her destiny has changed much. According to the reports, Rubina Ali, who is a regular slum dweller, is now homeless. Her home has been destroyed for the third time in last few months, for the re-development of the city.

The reports indicate that the director of the film, Danny Boyle, who had tried to support the child actors in different ways, offered Rubina Ali a new home. However, the family of the actress has once again refused to accept the help of the director. They rejected the apartment saying that it will not be possible for the entire family to reside in that apartment and so they have decided to take shelter in the house of a relative. It has also been stated that the family has demanded a much expensive apartment for the famed director.

The director and producer of the film, Danny Boyle, who has made several contributions for the welfare of the child artists of his film was upset with the repeated refusal of Rubina Ali’s family. He has not only purchased home for Rubina Ali but also gifted a home to child actor Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, after his house was demolished. Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail has moved in to the new home, while Rubina Ali’s fate is still in the making.
