Los Angeles, Mar 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Slime was the keyword at the Kids Choice Awards 2010, that was held yesterday in Los Angeles at the Pauley Pavilion. The award ceremony was aired on Nickelodeon, the organizers of the show. Like every year, the ceremony was informal, as can be expected in a ceremony that is meant strictly for the kids. The atmosphere was fun-filled, with all the celebrities coming up on the stage, whether to give away or receive an honor, or to perform, at their wacky best. The best performance of the evening, however, was delivered by the iconic green slime, that has assumed almost the status of a celebrity, transcending its position as a prop, in the Kids Choice Awards.

The slime was there in every part of the evening. Right in the beginning, as the host of the show, Kevin James, took the stage, and Adam Sandler hovered in the background, dressed as an angel, green slime spouted in fountains, dousing generously the front rows of the audience. Later on, Katy Perry was on the receiving end as she handed out the best film actress award to teen favorite Miley Cyrus, and only just missed out on giving the teen singer a slimy hug.

Actress Nicola Pelta managed to be the first one to actually handle a blob of the green slime, as she appeared to take it across the stage to smear it all over Jerry Trainer. The best part was, however, singer Katy Perry, who got the full blast of the green viscous slime right on her face, rendering her unable to see, and looking quite a spectacle in her sunflower printed dress and blue wig.
