Slash launches production house for horror movies
October 8th, 2010 - 12:11 am ICT by IANSLondon, Oct 7 (IANS) Former Guns N’ Roses rocker Slash has embraced his love for horror movies by launching his own production company.
The guitarist has teamed up with Scout Productions to create Slasher Films, which will make horror movies inspired by his favourite thrillers from the 1970s and 1980s, reports express.co.uk.
“I’ve always been a huge horror fan and creating films that take you back to the days where horror movies actually scared the hell out of you is something I’ve always wanted to do,” he said.
He’s also hoping to be able to live up to fans’ expectations.
“My audience is made up of young, edgy, discerning consumers, with an appetite for quality and a hint of anarchy,” he said.
Slash’s first project, “Nothing To Fear”, is about a family moving to Kansas and encountering an ancient and dangerous demon. Production is scheduled to begin next year.
