Skin whitening cream found in Jackson’s home

March 29, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Some more light was thrown upon Michael Jackson’s death this Friday when search documents were unsealed. Among the attention-grabbing items found in the singer’s home, were large quantities of Benoquin. Benoquin happens to be a skin whitening cream which Jackson seems to have used regularly.
The search warrant and documentation of Michael’s house, which were sealed by law until his cause of death was confirmed, were released on Friday. According to the coroner’s report, Jackson was suffering from Vitiligo, a condition that causes patches of the epidermis to lose their pigmentation, thus confirming popular suspicion.
Unwilling to face the stigma, MJ soon began to bleach the unaffected areas of his skin with Benoquin and other such agents in order to have a normal appearance. However, the cream MJ used can have a number of undesirable side effects like dryness, swelling and even peeling. Extreme sensitivity to sunlight is another major side effect of this treatment.
This wasn’t the only disturbing revelation of the report. Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray stopped administering CPR and called 911 late, so that he could hide the drugs in the room. On February 8, Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter because of allegedly administering a fatal dose of a combination of powerful sedatives to the King of Pop. According to Murray, the only drugs he was trying to hide from the police were the bleaching agents so that the world wouldn’t find out about it.
By request of Detective Daniel Myers, the documents released on Friday have been kept away from the public since the beginning of the investigation. According to his statement, disclosure of the document would compromise his ongoing investigation into the death of the decedent and risk the integrity of the investigation.
