“Skating With The Stars” Finale Gives The Season’s Trophy To Rebecca Budig

Dec 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Skating With The Stars” finale could not make the fans of Rebecca Budig happier, as she was the one who bagged the trophy and was crowned the queen of ice along with her partner Fred Palascak.
Winning the show was something that Rebecca Budig did not expect at all. She said that she was rather shocked when they declared the final results. She and the other finalist Bethenny Frankel was discussing about it in the backstage but never anticipated the outcome. However, she owed her victory to her dance partner and skate choreographer, Fred Palascak, who she considers to be the best teacher. However, their victory was no surprise to the audiences who have witnessed her perfection and skills all through out the season. They are the only couple in the season who could bag the full score of 60, based on their artistic skills, technical perfection and the overall performance. On the other hand, the other finalist, Bethenny Frankel and her choreographer, Ethan Burgess scored a 51 on the finale. Even most of her rivals probably approved with the decision of the judges and the audiences and said that her victory was ‘wel-deserved’. Johnny Weir, one of the judges of the show, once said that the biggest quality about Rebecca Budig is her “personality” and “fearlessness”. Even the other judge dick Button, was apparently “mesmerized” by her winning performance.
All the three judges have called her natural skater and she lived upto their expectation by never scoring below the second highest, all through out the season. All through out the season, the the bagged a cumulative score of 309, with an average of 25.8.
