March 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sasha Baron Cohen has finally wed his love and the mother of his child, Isla Fisher. After a very long six year engagement, and eight year courtship, the two were wed on March 15 in Paris, France.

The famous comedian sometimes known as “Bruno” or “Borat” has at last married his fiance in a very traditional, extremely private Jewish ceremony. Only six guests were invited and they were given very little notice of the nuptials in an effort to keep the ceremony a secret. In an interview which she gave over a year ago, Fisher made it very clear that she dreamed of a private wedding, “It’s very important to me to have a beautiful ritual celebrated with my family and friends,” she said. “And when you are in the public eye, to keep that private and to make it happen without it being really visible is really difficult.”

The two love birds who are separated by 4 years,(Sacha is 38 and Isla is 34) have been engaged since 2004. They have a two year old daughter named Olive, and seem to be building a beautiful and happy family. In an email which she sent out to her friends the day after the wedding, Isla said, “We did it, we’re married! It was the absolute best day of my life and in so many beautiful moments I missed you all so much. I thought of you as everything was happening, but Sacha and I wanted no fuss — just us!“

Since she had to convert to Judaism in order to marry Sacha, Isla was given the Hebrew name “Ayala.” She says that she is very happy with her choice, and told everyone “I love religions and find them fascinating and I find Judaism very beautiful. It has enriched my life enormously.“
