Sir Ridley Scott ‘to helm Alien prequel’
August 1st, 2009 - 12:46 pm ICT by ANILondon, August 1 (ANI): Sir Ridley Scott is reportedly set to direct a prequel to his 1979 science fiction horror film ‘Alien’.
The veteran director, who has not made a sci-fi movie since 1982, will allegedly team up with writer Jon Spaihts for the project.
According to trade bible Variety, the prequel would narrate the events leading up to the original movie, reports The BBC.
‘Alien’, which bagged an Academy Award for best visual effects in 1980, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. (ANI)
