Sir Peter Jackson recovering after surgery
January 30th, 2011 - 2:05 pm ICT by ANIWellington, Jan 30 (ANI): Sir Peter Jackson is recovering in the hospital after undergoing an emergency surgery for perforated stomach ulcer.
The Oscar-winning film director was admitted to Wellington Hospital on Wednesday with acute stomach pains.
Sir Peter is in a stable condition in intensive care, a Wellington Hospital spokeswoman said, reports Stuff.co.nz.
According to ‘The Hobbit’ publicist Melissa Booth, he would be spending several more days in hospital but doctors were pleased with his progress. (ANI)
