December 10th, 2007 - 5:26 pm ICT by adminLondon, Dec 10 (ANI): Rock star Sir Paul McCartney is being honoured for his lifes work in music and will be handed the Outstanding Contribution To Music gong at next years Brit Awards.
The year has not been a good one for the Beatles legend after he split up with Heather Mills, so the award, which will be given to him in February 2008, is sure to be a pleasure.
Oasis, Paul Weller, Sir Bob Geldof, John Lennon, Tom Jones And Sting have all won the award, voted for by the music industry, reports The Sun.
This is the first time that Sir Paul will be the Brits, and it is still a mystery as to who the lady accompanying him to the show would be.
The number of ladies available is not limited; from among them are Rosanna Arquette and Renee Zellweger, or even one of his daughters Stella or Mary. (ANI)
