Singer Wayne Newton parks his private jet on lawn
August 31st, 2010 - 2:45 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Aug 31 (IANS) American Singer Wayne Newton has reportedly parked his private jet in his back yard as he can’t afford to keep it at an airport.
The singer moved the $2m private aircraft, which he previously left at an airport in Detroit, to his Casa de Shenandoah estate in Las Vegas after storage fees became too expensive, reports TMZ.com.
It is said that the plane had to be disassembled during the trip between Michigan and Nevada but has since been put back together.
Newton has also reportedly settled a $500,000 debt with former pilot Monty Ward over unpaid wages.
