Singer Monica & Lakers Shannon Brown have a second wedding
July 11th, 2011 - 8:45 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, July 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Singer Monica and Los Angeles Lakers player Shannon Brown got married again on Saturday at a church in Los Angeles. Shannon and Monica married last November during a private ceremony which was kept on the low key.
However PEOPLE magazine reports that the second wedding was much bigger. The event was attended by array of stars including Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony and Derek Fisher who is a teammate of Shannon.
Monica – born Monica Arnold – wore a wedding dress which was designed by Stephen Roland during the ceremony. The event was held at the Vibiana Cathedral which is located in Downtown, Los Angeles.
Monica and Shannon first met last summer. After going out for a few months, the pair got engaged in October and followed it up with a wedding in November. Monica has two children – Rodney Jr. and Romelo - from her previous relationship. Shannon also has a son from his previous relationship.
Monica’s 1999 duet with Brandy which was titled “The Boy Is Mine,” remains her best work to date. Last year, she came out with the video of her work “Love All Over Me.” Shannon appeared in the video which was filmed last summer.
