Singer Faith Evans arrested for DUI
August 22nd, 2010 - 11:37 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Aug 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Singer Faith Evans has been arrested for DUI, according to TMZ. According to reports she was driving in an inebriated state and was stopped by the police near a DUI checkpoint located in the vicinity of the Marina Del Rey section of Los Angeles. When she was stopped then the officer’s smelled alcohol on her.
Subsequently she was arrested and then booked on ‘suspicion of DUI’. This isn’t the first time Faith Evans has had a run-in with the law. Around 6 years ago, she was arrested along with her husband Todd Russaw. They were charged with the possession of marijuana and cocaine too. They were arrested when they had stopped at a red light in Hapeville, which is a suburb in Atlanta in January 2004. However they were released when they agreed to take part in a drug treatment program for 13 weeks.
Faith Evans album ‘Something about Faith’ is all set to be released on the 5th of October. Some months ago she had signed a deal with E! Television and E! Music and in collaboration with them she is all set to launch her own reality show. Her upcoming music album is also going to be released with her own label – Prolific Music Group.
