Washington, Dec 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Reports say singer Etta James has been rushed back to the hospital after her condition worsened. The “At Last” hitmaker is suffering from Hepatitis C, dementia and an incurable form of final-stage leukemia.

Doctors declared Etta’s leukemia incurable at the beginning of the year. She has since been receiving 24 hour care at her home in Riverside, Calif. The 73-year-old is believed to be at the final moments of her life with reports suggesting that her husband and children are currently locked in a nasty collision over her fortune and care.

Earlier this month, her rep released a statement saying the singer is currently in the final stages of the cancer. The statement revealed that, “She’s in the final stages of leukemia. She has also been diagnosed with dementia and Hepatitis C. She’s in a home right now and mostly sleeps. She is under the care of a live-in doctor from Riverside Community Hospital and two others who have placed her on oxygen. Her husband is with her 24 hours a day, and her sons visit regularly. We’re all very sad. We’re just waiting.”

Etta has two children - Donto and Sametto. She is currently married to Artis Mills. CNN said the three were with her when she was rushed to the hospital. There has been no official comment on her state.
