London, July 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) UK based TV personality and singer Cheryl Cole has contracted Malaria and as per the latest reports she is recuperating at a London hospital. The 27-year-old star has been forced to cancel her work commitments for some time. She is a judge in the famous British reality talent show The X Factor and shares the designation with Simon Cowell. She fell down while doing a photo shoot for her album a few days back. There are conflicting reports on when she was taken to hospital but majority of the sources say that she was diagnosed with the ailment on Saturday.

She reportedly contracted the disease when she was on a trip to Tanzania the previous month. The singer fainted on the photo shoot sets and initially she was suspected of suffering from stomach ache and work stress. She later told the doctors that ever since she returned from Africa she was feeling stomach pains. The doctors are observing her and she has been asked not to work for at least a week. She went to the African country along with Derek Hough her dancer friend. She could feel something was wrong with her on Sunday when the stomach pain increased and she started feeling nauseous.

Singer Cheryl Cole has her close friend by her bedside. She was having high fever when she was rushed to the Cromwell Hospital as it has been reported. The fans as well as the friends of the star are wishing her a speedy recovery. The way she became ill and collapsed a few days back had put them in tension.
