Singer Bret Michaels Diagnosed With Brain Hemorrhage, In ICU

bretLos Angeles, Apr 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The popular American singer Bret Michaels was reportedly rushed to an undisclosed hospital on Thursday after the “Celebrity Apprentice” star complained of severe headache. Initial reports claim that the “Poison” front man is in critical condition. Reports claim that Bret Michaels on Thursday suffered from a brain Hemorrhage. After conducting many tests doctors found that Bret Michaels was bleeding at the base of his brain stem.

Bret Michaels has been kept in the Intensive Care unit of the hospital and a battery of tests has been already conducted over the singer to determine the exact reason for the sudden rupture. He is now being kept under strict observation. The representative of the star said that further tests would be done and before that nothing could be said in particular. Dr.Wendy Wright, who is an assistant professor of neurology and neurosurgery at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, told a media source that the kind of brain hemorrhage that Bret Michaels had suffered is usually from an “anueursym”. The doctor mentioned that the larger the “anueursym”, the larger is the probability of it getting ruptured. He also added that this happens more likely to people who are undergoing blood thinning medications or smoke heavily.

This is the second time in the recent past that the singer has been hospitalized. Bret Michaels had recently revealed that he got admitted to a hospital in Texas on Apr 12, to go through appendectomy surgery to remove the appendix. He had then complained of severe stomach pain and was rushed to the hospital. The actor had then said that due to his diabetes problem he might take much time to recover.
