Dec.08, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Singer Alexa Ray Joel, who was hospitalized after consuming sleeping pills last Saturday is said to have returned home and is reportedly doing well now. The 23 year old musical artist, who is the daughter of supermodel Christie Brinkley and singer Billy Joel, had supposedly consumed the medicines as she was suffering from depression following a breakup with her former boyfriend Jimmy Riot.

However, the young musician is undergoing a speedy recovery and is back home spending time with her family. A representative of the singer has added that Alexa Ray Joel has thanked all her fans for their constant love and support and has also implied that the singer is going to be back in the music scenario very soon.

Last weekend, the singer had to be hospitalized at the St. Vincent’s Hospital after her friend supposedly called 911 and said that she had consumed multiple sleeping pills and was suffering from breathing difficulties. Reportedly, later it was revealed that the singer herself had placed the call. Apart from the trauma that she was going through following her break up, the singer was also supposedly stressed because her musician father had plans of getting married again to a girl who was about her age. Moreover, reportedly her supermodel mother was going through another divorce which further added to her woes.

Other sources have revealed that the suicide attempt was just a way of gaining attention of her former boyfriend band mate Jimmy Riot. However, her ex-flame has refused to comment on the breakup and has also emphasized that he has not been in touch with the singer since their relationship came to an end.
