Singapore Sling Brings Victory To Kevin Sbraga

Sep 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The winner of the Top Chef contest is Kevin Sbraga who works in the Hamilton based Rat’s Restaurant. The chef made his way to the numero uno position with the help of the Singapore Sling. The judges were impressed and so was the host Padma Lakshmi. He was given a grand prize worth $125,000. He has a lineage in cooking since both his parents worked as professional bakers. He edged ahead of rivals like Angelo Sosa who works as New York based Xie Xie’s confident chef, as it has been reported. He also beat Ed Cotton, who is New York’s Plein Sud’s executive chief.
The challenge was making a delicious 4 course meal. The meal needed to have a veg appetizer, a meat delicacy along with a fish dish. Kevin Sbraga came up with a menu that got high points from the judges of the contest. He presented items like eggplant, roasted pepper terrine and zucchini. He followed it up with cuttlefish noodles, caramelized bok choy soaked in an orange coriander sauce, roasted duck with dumplings all of which got him accolades. However, the show stealer was the Singapore Sling which he tossed with coconut panna cotta.
Kevin Sbraga’s duck dish won accolades from the judges and it was the best meat dish according to their opinion. The best dessert the judges said was the Singapore Sling which taste superior to what other candidates had come up with. Kevin Sbraga is extremely delighted with his win and he said that some day in future he wants to become the owner of the topmost restaurant in the USA.
