Simon West finalised to direct ‘The Expendables 2′

Los Angeles, June 16 (IANS) British director Simon West has been roped in to direct “The Expendables 2″, a sequel to the Sylvester Stallone-starrer hit action movie of 2010.
Stallone had directed “The Expendables”, which grossed a business of $275 million worldwide, reports deadline.com.
The sequel will star Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews and Jet Li and it will be produced by Millennium Films. Lionsgate will release the film that will go on floors in the summer.
West, known for directing CBS Films remake of “The Mechanic” with Statham and Ben Foster, also directed action films “Con Air”, “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” and “The General’s Daughter”.
