London, Feb 3 (ANI): Simon Cowell’s cover version of R.E.M.’s 1992 classic ‘Everybody Hurts’ in aid of Haiti is set to become Britain’s biggest-selling single in a decade.

The star-studded track, featuring the vocals of Kylie Minogue, Leona Lewis and Robbie Williams, is expected to sell well over a million copies within days.

All the money raised will go to the Helping Haiti Fund.

Online outlets like HMV, Amazon and Play claimed that pre-orders went into ‘meltdown’ after the song was heard for the first time.

“We’re getting record levels of pre-orders for Everybody Hurts. It is well on course to become a million seller, easily the biggest selling single for a decade,” the Daily Star quoted HMV’s Gennaro Castaldo as saying. (ANI)
