Simon Cowell’s fiancée hopes to inspire Afghan girls with her book
June 20th, 2010 - 5:12 pm ICT by ANILondon, June 20 (ANI): Music mogul Simon Cowell’s fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy is penning a book that she thinks will help girls rule Afghanistan.
Afghanistan-born make-up artist Hussainy is planning to inspire the girls with a book on her life story as well as a film.
Hussainy fled from her homeland in 1981 for Hollywood. She met Cowell on the sets of American Idol while working as a make-up artist.
“Girls in Afghanistan haven’t been able to even put on make-up for so long,” the Daily Star quoted 37-year-old Hussainy as saying.
“I want to help them back on their feet. My hope is one day girls will rule again,” she added. (ANI)
