London, May 30 (ANI): Simon Cowell has urged Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle to beat the pressure and go on to live her dream to perform in the finals amid fears she might quite the show.
Susan became an overnight sensation after her jaw dropping performances attracted millions of hits on video sharing websites.
The church volunteer, 48, had sparked concerns after she was reduced to tears and threatened to withdraw due to upsetting media criticism.
Simon revealed he had a heart-to-heart with the nervous songbird, assuring her protection against any threat to her health whether she wins or not.
“You’ve come so far, don’t give up on your dream now,” the Mirror quoted him as saying.
He added: “I have never known anything like this in my whole career. I just wanted to make sure she is OK. I told her I would help her in any way I can. She has earned the right to be in that final and I didn’t want her to miss out on her big night.”
The Scottish singer was further backed by judges Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan.
Amanda said: “She will definitely be in the final and she won’t let the pressure get to her. She will do a great job, I know she will.”
Piers Morgan wrote on his blog: “My bet is that she will respond with the performance of her life. This is one tough lady who has had to fight since the day she was born, and there is no way she’s going to quit now, trust me.”
He added: “Susan’s going to be a major star whatever happens. And I hope she nails it on the night, and shoves all these vile critics’ disgraceful attacks down their throats.” (ANI)
