Simon Cowell says that he is bored of ‘American Idol’

Los Angeles, May 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Simon Cowell finally confessed the real reason behind leaving the show ‘American Idol’ and the reason is that he is bored. He has been a judge on the show for the past 9 seasons, and now he is saturated of the show. So he thought that it was a wise decision to bid adieu to the show. He also said very candidly that he finds it very difficult to hide his boredom in front of the audience, as he just can’t fake it.
He said to Oprah Winfrey in an interview that, “After a while, you start to go on automatic pilot. And there were too many times, Oprah, where I was sitting there bored, and I thought, ‘The end of the day, the audience doesn’t tune in to watch me being bored. They deserve more than that.’ But I can’t hide it when I’m bored. I just can’t fake it.”
He is also hoping that his replacement on the show is a capable person, who doesn’t have a bias against and for some race. So that all the contestants on the show can get a fair chance. Meanwhile Paula Abdul is going to be back on the musical reality show American Idol’s season finale. Perhaps the other reason that she would also be back would be to say goodbye to Simon Cowell. Paula would be back on the show for a ‘special send-off’ to Simon.
