Simon Cowell presented a Frank Sinatra’s handkerchief on the sets of American Idol

Los Angeles, May 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The judge of the American Idol – Simon Cowell was presented with a handkerchief of Frank Sinatra by his daughters - Nancy and Tina. The handkerchief was also monogrammed with Frank Sinatra’s initials. The recent episode of the American Idol was a tribute to Sinatra, and so his daughters had come to watch the show. They were a part of the audience and had come to see the Top 5 contestants of the musical reality show American Idol perform their father’s songs.

They presented the judge Simon Cowell with Sinatra’s personal handkerchief. “I will treasure this always, it’s very dear to me. What I liked about Sinatra was he was the king of cool,” said Simon Cowell. It is no secret that Simon’s all time favorite singer is Frank Sinatra, and he keeps on harping about this on the show.

Meanwhile the Top 5 contestants of the show had a lot of trouble, when they were asked to sing Frank Sinatra’s songs, with the Harry Connick Jr.’s piano playing in the background. Out of the 3 contestants who had the hardest time on the show was Aaron Kelly who belongs to Sonestown. She was supposed to sing ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ and she made a thorough mess of it. Simon admonished her and said that, “If (Sinatra) was a lion, you were just a mouse.”
