Los Angeles, Nov 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Simon Cowell has jumped on the Twitter band-wagon. The music mogul joined the mini-blogging site on Wednesday with his sights firmly set on the other X Factor US judges.

In the first 10 hours after joining Twitter, Cowell received more than 150,000 followers. He announced his presence on the social network with his first tweet which said, “It’s official, I know it’s taken a while. It’s really me! We’re live in 10 minutes. I’ll keep you posted. Lots of love #iamsimon. [sic]”

Cowell teased his fellow judges on the show telling them that he had beaten them in the popularity poll. He kept his Twitter feed coming in during the show and revealed that the female judges on the show felt threatened by the talent of his act Drew Ryniewicz.

CNN’s Piers Morgan sought to bring Cowell back to earth when he wrote that, “At last! Bring. It. On. love #iampiers. Save your breath @SimonCowell - nobody’s watching X Factor, my show’s about to start #CNN @PiersTonight.”

To that tweet, Cowell replied, “@piersmorgan look up the word deluded in your dictionary.”

X Factor is the brainchild of Cowell. A similar show in the United Kingdom has proven to be a huge hit and Cowell is hoping that it will have a similar impact in the United States.

The winner will walk away with $5 million prize money, that is the biggest talent hunt prize money in the United States.
